Labrador Tea Shrub

Shrubs
Arctic Toxic

Common in wet bogs and lower-latitude forested areas of the Arctic. These plant adapted its growing style to its specific climate: In the warmer, southern Arctic latitudes, it grows straight up to take advantage of the sun, while in the colder, northern latitudes, it grows closer to the ground to avoid the wind and chill.

These are very toxic to animals since they contain toxic alkaloids which can lead to death.
