Traits
Chubari Spots (Uncommon)
Chubari spots are oval or round, white or whitish spots, usually about the size of an egg. They occur in gray horses, but should not be confused with dapples. These spots are randomly scattered on the body and can have sharp borders.
Birdcatcher Spots (Uncommon)
Birdcatcher Spots are small white spots that can appear on any coat color. Usually in small groups, these spots seem like small splatters of white paint. Not to be confused with the spotted gene.
Bend-Or spots (Rare)
Not to be confused with dapples, or roan that can lead to dark hairs when there's a small injury, Bend-Or spots (also known as Ben d'Or, Smuts and Grease Spots), they are dark spots that appear mostly on chestnuts, palominos, and darker reindeer no matter their age. These are also quite rare and can be so dark that it looks black, but usually they are slightly darker than the coat base color.
Poteka Spots (Rare)
For sabino only, these spots make one side or the flank look like a spotted reindeer.
Peacock Spots (Epic)
Peacock Spots are spots and speckles surrounded by a halo of hair in a contrasting fur color, almost like a leopard's spots. These spots vary in size and shape, ranging from as small as a dime to as large as a hand. They appear in a random pattern, creating a look of a real head turner.
Chimera (Epic)
Chimeras are when twins in the utero fuse together, causing the calf to have 2 sets of genes in their DNA. These can result in any genetic and anomaly possibility we have. Of course, this doesn't include another set of Chimera. This anomaly can have minimal to 75% coverage and can also be rolled to be passed down for breeding.
Brindle Chimera (Epic)
Not the same or to be confused as the genetic code, this is from twins that fuse like a Chimera does, which allows the coat to be even more affected. It's an unusual pattern of dark, vertical lines on a lighter-colored coat like dark paint was spilled on them, while on darker coats, they're quite hard to see.
Lightning Strikes (Epic)
Mostly found in Sabino, but can happen for the spotted genetic as well, this anomaly are irregular leg markings that do not touch the hooves.
Mismarked Spots (Rare)
Mismarked Spots only happen for the spotted gene in reindeer, where the spots disappear in certain areas of the coat to show the base coat, nearly mistaking it for a Chimera. However, this anomaly doesn't pass down to calves..
